HECTOR A. CHICHONI is a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice in the firm's Miami office. Prior to working at EBG, Mr. Chichoni was the co-chair of the East Coast immigration practice for a multi-jurisdictional global law firm, where he practiced U.S. and global immigration law and served as the national immigration counsel for Retail Bakers of America. He has represented a vast number of corporate and individual clients throughout his career ranging from top U.S. health care organizations, to Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, multinational corporations and universities. His international experience includes handling matters relating to complex export controls, customs, and global corporate compliance and business transactions. He has represented clients in a wide variety of cases before the U.S. Immigration Court. Earlier on, Mr. Chichoni served as a judicial clerk for the Fourth District Court of Utah. He is a frequent speaker and author on immigration and international issues at U.S. and global forums. Mr. Chichoni has been a speaker for Lorman Seminars, The Foundation for American Communications, and The Employment Law Symposium. He has also presented on immigration issues at the Retail Bakers of America's National Convention. Mr. Chichoni's articles have appeared in numerous publications including Immigration Legal Weekly, The Immigration Daily, Cyberspace Lawyer (Westlaw), Bloomberg Law Reports, Human Resource Executive magazine, HR Watch, Texas Reporter, The Daily Bugle, HSyndicate News, Hospitality Net, China Update, Cincinnati Business Courier, Immigration Dispatch, Immigration Insider, Employer's Update and Diario La Tribuna. He is also the author of the chapter 'What to Do When the Government Knocks at Your Door: Dealing with Trouble,' an immigration publication from the Council on Education in Management. His articles have been published in English, Spanish and Chinese. Mr. Chichoni is a frequent commentator on immigration issues and his interviews have appeared in The Miami Herald, The Daily Business Review, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel, South Florida Business Journal, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Salt Lake Tribune, The Ledger, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Comcast News.
