Spencer Lucas is an attorney at Panish, Shea, & Boyle. He currently focuses his practice on cases involving catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and business torts. Mr. Lucas has successfully recovered over $50,000,000 for his clients. Spencer Lucas was recently trial counsel with Brian Panish in Tilton v. Southern California Gas Company in which they successfully received a jury verdict in excess of $15 million dollars in compensatory damages for a teenager who sustained a closed head injury after his vehicle was struck by a Southern California Gas Company utility truck. In August of 2007, Mr. Lucas was trial counsel with Mr. Panish in Avila v. Dresick Farms. In this 20 day jury trial in El Centro California, the jury returned a $5.6 million dollar verdict, which is considered to be the largest personal injury jury verdict in the history of Imperial County. Spencer Lucas graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business Administration. During his undergraduate work, he completed an International Business program with honors from the University of Sevilla in 1999. Mr. Lucas graduated from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2004, where he was the co-founder of the Pepperdine International Human Rights Mission in Honduras. While at Pepperdine, Mr. Lucas studied International Law in London and was the winner of the Middle Temple Hall Moot Court Competition. Mr. Lucas speaks fluent Spanish and volunteers his time as an advocate for various international human rights groups. Mr. Lucas became a member of the State Bar of California in November of 2004. He is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
