Tom has a sophisticated litigation practice focused primarily in the areas of eminent domain, intellectual property, healthcare, contracts, real estate and other business litigation, as well as high exposure personal injury cases. Tom’s active and successful litigation practice includes conducting trials and arguing before appellate courts on a regular basis. He has been lead counsel for landowners in some of the largest jury verdicts and settlements in Gwinnett County history, including a $6 million settlement and a verdict for over $9 million in damages. Tom is well known by clients and colleagues alike for his advocacy skills, professionalism and integrity. While in college at The George Washington University, Tom was captain of the men’s basketball team, an Academic All-American, and a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society. After graduating from Michigan Law School and starting his career with a large Atlanta law firm, Tom moved his practice to Gwinnett County in 1988 to help establish the firm with Tom Andersen.
