David M. Zevan is the co-founder of the Zevan Davidson Roman, LLC. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, he focuses his practice on wrongful death and personal injury litigation, providing assistance to clients throughout the area who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. Although he handles a variety of matters, Mr. Zevan places a particular emphasis on medical malpractice litigation, including surgical errors, misdiagnoses and birth injuries. He also assists clients in cases involving defective products, premises liability and motor vehicle accidents.
Mr. Zevan attended The University of Scranton as an undergraduate, where he majored in political science and history and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1987. He then moved to Missouri and pursued his legal education at Saint Louis University School of Law. After being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1991, Mr. Zevan joined the St. Louis City Counselor's Office. While he was there, he defended medical malpractice lawsuits filed against city-owned health care facilities as well as civil rights lawsuits brought against the city's police department. In 1993, Mr. Zevan left the office to enter private practice. He is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Illinois state courts.
During his career, Mr. Zevan has been able to obtain several sizable settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of his plaintiff clients. One representative result was a $6.5 million verdict in a medical malpractice lawsuit brought by the parents of an infant who died after a bacterial infection went undiagnosed. His successes have been noted by his fellow professionals, who have awarded him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. Mr. Zevan has also been a recipient of the Thomas G. Strong Trial Attorney Award given annually by the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
