Specific services include: • Serving as court- or party-appointed arbitrator or mediator (member of Distinguished Panels of Neutrals for CPR Institute for Conflict Resolution and court-sanctioned mediator for U.S. District Court for District of New Jersey (Term 2007-2010)) • Advising organizations on all aspects of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, including board committee structures, procedures for discharging duties, internal controls and escalation processes • Counseling boards of directors and senior management on compliance and risk management • Performing confidential risk assessments for records management program compliance, and ethics and general compliance programs • Providing special counsel in e-discovery negotiations and related proceedings in civil, regulatory and criminal matters • Serving as court-appointed monitor or expert • Representing public and private entities in a wide range of governance and ethics matters, including general and special counsel to governing bodies and their members • Serving as counsel for commercial and business transactions, including franchise agreements, business alliances and combinations, and other business services contracts. Lexacos Before establishing Lexakos, Rick Wolf was head of global compliance at Cendant Corporation, from 2002 until the corporation's disaggregation in 2006. During his decade as a law department executive, Mr. Wolf brought legal and business-process innovation to Cendant (and predecessor in interest HFS), helping the corporation become a model of streamlined and effective compliance, litigation and records management systems. Mr. Wolf has designed web-based matter management systems and guidelines for managing legal work among a network of approved firms and vendors. Several companies use this system today. After implementing the company's first compliance and ethics program, Mr. Wolf joined other Fortune 100 chief compliance officers to form the Compliance and Ethics Leadership Council. He also developed a records management system, which the General Counsel Roundtable selected for a case study and cited its email hold management processes as examples of best practices. Before joining Cendant, Mr. Wolf was in private law practice, concentrating on corporate litigation, commercial law and appellate practice at the firms of Pitney Hardin and LeBoeuf Lamb. He earlier served as law clerk to the Hon. Sylvia B. Pressler, presiding judge, Appellate Division, Superior Court of New Jersey. To complement Lexakos business advisory services, Mr. Wolf opened a separate private law practice, Wolf Law Associates LLC, which provides litigation counsel, confidential risk analyses and e-discovery expert services, as well as general commercial transactional legal services. Mr. Wolf is a certified and trained arbitrator and mediator, offering conflict resolution services through Wolf Law Associates for commercial, corporate and complex e-discovery matters. Mr. Wolf is immediate-past president of the Association of Corporate Counsel's Greater New York Chapter (2006). For the American Bar Association, he chairs the corporate counsel committee of the Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Section and serves as liaison to the ABA Presidential Task Force on Attorney-Client Privilege. He is a faculty member for the Practising Law Institute. Mr. Wolf is a member of The American Law Institute. Mr. Wolf lectures frequently at business conferences on governance, compliance, records management and litigation controls. Mr. Wolf is published frequently. His most recent work includes a column in Compliance Week's Guide to E-Discovery titled 'The Brave New World of e-Discovery Rules' (Jan. 2007), and a featured article for ACC Docket titled 'Rough Waters Ahead for e-Discovery and the New Federal Rules of Civil Procedure,' coauthor (Jan. 2007). Mr. Wolf is active in youth sports activities including coaching little league baseball and recreation basketball. He enjoys billiards, golf, travel, fine restaurants and is a wine enthusiast. Mr. Wolf is also an avid sports fan and lifetime supporter of the New York Yankees, Giants and Knicks. Mr. Wolf holds a B.A. in liberal studies from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He received his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was on the editorial board of the Washington University Law Review.
