Intellectual Property attorney with major emphasis on patents, client counseling, licensing, litigation. Practice includes software, medical devices, general mechanical, digital electronics, internet, polymer materials. 20 years of industrial experience as an engineer and Director, Clinical Research before becoming an attorney. Bachelors in Physics from DePaul University in 1972, MBA from Central Michigan University in 1981and JD from Whittier Law School in 1993. I prosecute and litigate patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. I particularly like acting as outside 'in-house' counsel for my clients, and have broad experience in carrying out IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and rendering opinions regarding infringment and validity of patents. I am always interested in new technology. My goal is to provide the best IP counseling possible to my clients to assist them in creating and maintaining value in thier intellectual property portfolios.
