The Prinz Law Office currently offers the services of firm founder Kristie D. Prinz, Esq. Kristie's practice focuses on representing high tech and life sciences companies in a variety of domestic and international transactional matters, including but not limited to technology licensing and research collaborations; development, supply, purchase, and commercial services agreements; nondisclosure agreements; mergers and acquisitions; and employment and severance agreements. Prior to opening her own firm, Kristie was in the licensing group of the New York-based intellectual property firm of Pennie & Edmonds LLP in Palo Alto, CA, which closed its doors in December 2003. Kristie is licensed to practice law in the states of California and Georgia. Education Kristie is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee, where she received her J.D. in 1998, and a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she received a B.A summa cum laude in Political Science and Spanish in 1995. She also studied as an undergraduate student at the Universidad de Nebrissenssis in Madrid, Spain in 1993. Business and Legal Affiliations Kristie currently serves as Vice Chair of the Programs and VOIP Committees for the Science and Technology Law Section of the American Bar Association, Director of Life Sciences/Biotechnology for the NAWBO Silicon Valley Board of Directors, and co-chair of the Telecom and Intellectual Property Subcommittee for the California State Bar's Cyberspace Committee of the Business Section. Kristie's other service includes the Cyberspace Committee of the Business Law Section for both the American Bar Association, the Corporate IP Management Committee for the Intellectual Property Owners Association, the Fundraising Committee for the Entrepreneurs' Network in Santa Clara, and the Life Sciences and Entrepreneur Venture Catalyst Program planning committees for the Women's Technology Cluster in San Francisco, CA. In addition, Kristie is a member of the Georgia State Bar Association, the International Technology Law Association, the Licensing Executives Society, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs & Executives, and the Women's High Tech coalition. Kristie's prior service includes chairing the Copyright Licensing Subcommittee for the American Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section and co-chairing the 2006 Selma Moidel Smith Writing Competition for the National Association of Women Lawyers. She also served on the U.S. Copyright Law Committee of the Intellectual Property Owners Association.
