Jace Padden
DeFazio Bal PC
I am a Virginia attorney with the firm DeFazio Bal PC. We have offices in Henrico and Chesterfield County, which is just outside of Richmond. I focus my practice on Family Law. My goal is to help clients identify and achieve their objectives in the most effective manner possible. A large part of my job is to help clients maintain their dignity and protect their families during an emotionally difficult transitional time in their lives.
I graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, I was a member of the Moot Court Board, a John Marshall Scholar, and research assistant to Professor W. Hamilton Bryson. I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, with a major in Philosophy and a minor in Religious Studies.
After law school, I served as a law clerk in the Chesterfield County Circuit Court for one year. Since then I have practiced law throughout the metro-Richmond area and have appeared in various other courts in Virginia. In addition to litigating cases, I am trained in the collaborative law process and am a former Co-President of Collaborative Professionals of Richmond. I also serve as a guardian ad litem for children and am a board member of Families Forward (formerly Prevent Child Abuse Virginia).
