After graduating law school I decided to return home to Chattanooga to practice with my father. From his forty years of experience in the court room I learned how to navigate the court system, speak with clients, and deal with the various issues the daily practice of law often raises. In criminal practice I have represented persons accused of offenses as minor as traffic citations along with more serious offenses such as theft, assault, and even numerous robberies and homicides. I have learned over the years how to present cases to a jury, how to speak with prosecutors when seeking to resolve cases, and, most importantly, how to explain the court system and strategies to clients. I understand that being charged with an offense can be an overwhelmingly stressful event - it can impact not only the client, but the family of friends of that client as well. I also recognize that people want to hear the truth about their case, often asking myself how I would like to be treated were I the client. In practicing probate I understand that the client has not only just suffered the loss of a family member but find themselves confronted with the complicated issues of carrying out their last wishes. I can walk you through that process, taking much of stress and confusion away. Most people do not leave behind vast amounts of real estate and money, and some do not leave a final will. Nonetheless, probate is a necessary step to be taken following a death and I can help you do that.
