Robert McAlhany, an associate in Howrey’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice, joined the firm in 2005. Dr. McAlhany has experience in a variety of aspects of IP litigation. His practice focuses primarily on biotech, medical, computer and internet-based systems. Prior to entering law school, Dr. McAlhany obtained a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from Texas A&M College of Medicine. His graduate work emphasized Neuroscience and Molecular Biology. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. McAlhany completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in the field of Neuroscience. Following his Fellowship, Dr. McAlhany concurrently managed the Vector Development Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine, while attending law school at night. Dr. McAlhany’s background includes Medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology and Cellular and Gene Therapy.
