Tom Richard

Tom Richard leads the occupational injury and employment law practice at Wiggins, Richard & Romano, LLP. His focus is on guiding employers through the often conflicting laws governing disability accommodations, leaves of absence and workers' compensation. Tom has served as a legal expert witness in civil and criminal trials, as pro temp judge at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board office in San Francisco, and as a faculty member of the Insurance Educational Association (IEA). Previously, he served on the boards of the Industrial Claims Association (ICA) and the State Bar of California Workers’ Compensation Section, as Guest Instructor and board member at S. F. City College, and as legal advisor to the Mayor's Committee for the Employment of Person's with Disabilities. He is also a member of the San Francisco City Club. Honors and Awards: Recognized as one of Northern California's 'Super Lawyers' in the 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 editions of Law & Politics and San Francisco magazines. Certified specialist since 1999 by the California Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar Association.
