John Kassel
Kassel McVey Personal Injury Lawyers
Since the beginning of his legal career, John Kassel has represented individuals and families who have suffered injury or death due to the negligence of other parties. John graduated from Northwestern University in 1979, then joined Volunteers in Service to America or VISTA—typically referred to as the domestic arm of the Peace Corps. As a VISTA Volunteer, John worked for the Brown Lung Association, a group primarily comprised of retired textile workers who had spent years of their lives working in cotton textile mills, and who were suffering from debilitating lung disease due to the prolonged cotton dust exposure as a result.
In 1985, John graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He worked for a public defender in Richland County for the next two years, then joined law firm Suggs and Kelly, P.A. Here, he represented individuals and families who had been either hurt or killed because of the negligence of others.
John established his own personal injury litigation firm in 2001. He is resolute to take only the plaintiff’s side in every case—the side of the victims and their loved ones injured or killed in personal injury cases such as auto accidents, construction accidents, product liability, medical malpractice, and premises liability.
John Licensed to practice law in both state and federal courts within South Carolina, John is a licensed member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Association for Justice, and the Bar of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Virginia.
