Although we represent injured persons throughout the State of Illinois, Mr. Schweickert is our only attorney doing “transactional work” and, accordingly, our real estate, probate, and estate planning practice is generally limited to a 40 mile radius of our Peru office. Many law firms represent persons with claims against insurance companies and/or their insureds and, also, represent insurance companies and their insureds when there is no “conflict of interest.” It is perfectly legal to do so, but we do not. At Schweickert & Ganassin you can be assured that we fight against insurance companies on a daily basis and never for them. Except in rare instances, we also do not take family law (divorce, custody, etc.), collection, bankruptcy, or criminal felony cases. Mr. Mack of our office was a former State’s Attorney and he will undertake minor criminal cases (DUI’s, misdemeanors, etc.), but our concentration is in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases.
