Philip Newman

     I'm a board certified invasive/interventional cardiologist with 35 years of experience, the first 3 years as an academic cardiologist  as director of the Cardiac Cath Lab and acting director of the Department of Cardiology at a teaching hospital, with responsibilities including teaching, research/publishing and patient care, followed by 29 years as a fulltime cardiologist in the private sector. I am currently a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at UCI, seeing patients and teaching post-doctoral cardiology fellows.
     I have 35 years of experience as an expert witness, have been involved in 110 medicolegal cases, about equally divided between plaintiff and defense, and I have received uniformly excellent feedback from the attorneys with whom I have worked.
