About Andrew Harris
Andrew helped Stetson maintain that reputation by winning the 63rdAnnual National Moot Court competition, the nation’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious competition. Andrew and a teammate almost made history as the first back-to-back national champions, returning to win the Best Brief award and the #1 seed before losing to the eventual national champions, the University of Georgia, by mere tenths of a point.
Andrew was a member of Stetson’s Law Review, Moot Court Board, and Honors Program. Andrew graduated second in his class and upon graduation received the only two named awards for advocacy and legal writing—The E. Harris Drew Award for excellence in written and oral advocacy and the Victor O. Wehle Award for trial advocacy.
Prior to law school, Andrew graduated from the University of Connecticut and then spent 7 years in the private sector, working primarily in real estate and construction. Andrew played for the UConn baseball team and utilized that experience to co-found RBI Austin, a baseball program that engages, mentors, and supports over 600 kids and young adults in inner-city Austin. Andrew currently serves on the board of directors for RBI Austin.
Andrew is also actively engaged with the local bar association. The Austin Bar Association selected Andrew to participate in the 2015 Leadership Academy and Andrew has also been involved in the Austin Bar’s Mentorship program.
Andrew is a seasoned trial lawyer who has already appeared in over 100 trials, consisting of both jury and bench trials. Andrew focuses his practice on Family Law, including Divorce, Child Custody, Child Support, Prenuptial Agreements, and Postnuptial Agreements.
