Since his graduation from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2005, Michael Hines has worked exclusively in the practice of criminal defense, defending clients charged in both State and Federal courts. Michael has previously represented individuals accused of Murder, Armed Robbery, Racketeering, Burglary, Sexual Battery, Weapons Offenses, Drug Offenses, and Driving Under the Influence (D.U.I.), among others. He has represented clients in Alachua, Levy, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Columbia, Putnam, and St. Johns counties. Michael has also lectured to trial practice students at the Levin College of Law, and has taught trial technique to prosecutors and public defenders at an annual clinic hosted by the College of Law.
Michael is president of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association and a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He and his wife Stephanie are longtime residents of Gainesville.
