Prior to forming Thomson Bankruptcy, LLC, Rich was a Managing Partner in Clark & Washington, LLC (f/k/a Clark & Washington, P.C.), the largest consumer bankruptcy firm in the Southeast. While there, he represented consumer bankruptcy clients across Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.
Rich is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy; a former National Co-Chair of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Consumer Committee; a director of the Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute; on the advisory board for the Emory University School of Law Bankruptcy Developments Journal; on the advisory board for the ABI’s Memphis Consumer Bankruptcy Conference; on the advisory board for the ABI’s Southeastern Bankruptcy Workshop; a member of the Faculty of the American Board of Certification, a Master of the Inn of the Georgia Bankruptcy Inn of Court; certified as a specialist in consumer bankruptcy; and, a past president of the Metro Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys Group. He is a member of the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees (NACTT) and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA). Rich has spoken about consumer bankruptcy issues at numerous national and regional bankruptcy conferences, including the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ) and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees (NACTT). During his career, he personally has represented debtors in literally thousands of consumer bankruptcy matters.
