R. THOMAS CURL ESQ

R. Thomas Curl (“Tom”) completed his Juris Doctor at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California. Mr. Curl attended the University of San Francisco where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior and Leadership in 2012. Prior to attending the University of San Francisco Mr. Curl attended American River College in Sacramento and majored in Wildlife Biology.

Mr. Curl came to law school after a career in law enforcement for 14 years in Northern California. Mr. Curl began his career at the City of Folsom as a Correctional Officer in the Return to Custody Facility, which housed state inmates who were returning to prison on parole violations. Mr. Curl then worked for the City of Sacramento as both a Parking Enforcement Officer and an Animal Control Officer.

Mr. Curl attended the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center Police Academy in 2007 and began working for the County of Sacramento as a Code Enforcement Officer that same year. While with the County of Sacramento, Mr. Curl took a pivotal role in several community policing initiatives that served to curb crime, drug manufacturing, and blight in the communities of North Highlands, Rio Linda, Antelope, and Oak Park, where he was assigned.

Mr. Curl holds professional certificates in Animal Fighting Investigations, FEMA Emergency Management for Public Safety and for Schools, Code Enforcement Officer Basic and Advanced Certificates, Media Relations, and Legal Research for both WestLaw and Lexis Nexis platforms. Mr. Curl is licensed to practice law in the state of Idaho.
