Shaun H. Malvin is an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated attorney in the areas of Litigation, Commercial Law, and Business Law. Prior to founding Malvin Feinberg, Shaun H. Malvin practiced law in both a full-service national law firm and a boutique law firm. Most recently, Mr. Malvin practiced with a nationally renowned law firm dedicated to representing public employee pension funds, public employee labor organizations (unions), and related entities. Mr. Malvin served as counsel to public entity boards of trustees, regularly serving as board counsel at public meetings. In this position, he was heavily involved in constitutional litigation and appeals, pension fund investments, real estate transactions, and disability and forfeiture proceedings. He has appeared and argued in courts throughout the State of Florida and has drafted numerous pleadings, motions, and appellate briefs. Additionally, he has drafted legislation and a multitude of pension plan documents.
Immediately after graduating from law school, Mr. Malvin practiced law in the litigation department of a national law firm, where he gained significant experience representing corporate clients, financial institutions, and individuals in a variety of practice areas. In addition to advising clients and drafting legal documents and pleadings, Mr. Malvin has considerable experience in the courtroom. His experience includes complex commercial litigation, real estate transactions and litigation, construction litigation, and corporate formations and transactions. Mr. Malvin also has significant experience handling debt collection actions, foreclosure litigation, guardianship proceedings, and defamation lawsuits.
Mr. Malvin graduated with honors from the University of Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Mr. Malvin attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law and earned a Juris Doctorate degree with honors.
While attending law school at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Mr. Malvin volunteered with the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, providing tax return preparation assistance to low-income clients, and with Three Rivers Legal Services, providing information to clients involved in landlord-tenant disputes. Additionally, he also represented clients in family law matters as a Certified Legal Intern as part of the Virgil Hawkins Civil Representation Clinic at the University of Florida.
Mr. Malvin is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
