(July, 2008-August 2010) As an associate attorney, I assisted on a variety of civil cases, gaining experience in the area of motion practice, as well as family law, health law, child custody, adoptions, as well as the day-to-day responsibilities inherent in operating a small law practice.

Nueces County District Attorney's Office, Corpus Christi, Texas (July, 2006-July, 2008) As an Assistant District Attorney and Juvenile Prosecutor, I was responsible for all aspects of criminal prosecution from intake through jury selection and trial of both misdemeanor and felony cases. I was in court almost on a daily basis and became familiar with courtroom procedure and etiquette. I worked closely with both law enforcement officers and with juvenile probation officers, and I interacted with crime victims and with other witnesses.
