I have been a licensed attorney practicing immigration and nationality law for over 30 years.  Before entering private practice, I served as an immigration attorney representing the United States government from 1989 to 2014.

I joined the U.S. Department of Justice in 1989, under the Attorney General's Honors Program, which is a hiring initiative designed to recruit attorneys recently graduated from law school who show particular promise, talent and ability. I joined the Department of Justice after graduating from the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia in 1988, and after completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Samuel L. Supnick, of the New Jersey Superior Court, from 1988 to 1989.  In 2003, I went on to become a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security, where I remained until entering private practice in 2014. During my many years with the federal government, I served as a federal prosecutor, an attorney supervisor and a project manager.  I represented the government before the United States Immigration Court, and also appeared before the Board of Immigration Appeals.  In addition, I prepared legal briefs, and responded to administrative motions on behalf of the INS and ICE. I also served as a supervisor of attorneys and support staff during my years with the federal government.  In this capacity, I issued work assignments, monitored progress, and trained and developed office personnel.  I also provided legal advice on personnel matters, and represented management in cases before the EEOC/MSPB.  I also managed the Employer Sanctions/Civil Document Fraud Program, and coordinated the Criminal Alien/Institutional Hearing Program.  In addition, I served as an instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), in Glynco, Georgia, and Artesia, New Mexico, where I taught courses on Immigration Law, Search and Seizure Law and Courtroom Testimony.  I also counseled federal law enforcement agents on matters of law and policy. Now that I have transitioned to private practice, I am pleased to serve the needs of the immigrant communities in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and beyond.  I offer a broad range of immigration services, including family-based immigration, naturalization, deportation and removal defense, political asylum, waivers of inadmissibility, non-immigrant visas and deferred action. I strongly believe that the United States has achieved its greatness, first and foremost, because we are a nation of immigrants.  I know that our country is at its best when each person has the opportunity to make his or her own unique contribution, and together we celebrate the diversity of our great nation.  I am proud to be able to use my background and training to help enable people to achieve the American dream.
