Donald Strickland

Since joining Twiggs Strickland & Rabenau in 1984, Don has successfully represented clients in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases in the state and federal courts of North Carolina and has obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts. Don has also successfully litigated business tort cases in the state and federal courts in North Carolina and South Carolina, federal courts in Florida and Maryland, and state court in Arizona.

Don obtained substantial verdicts and settlements against corporate defendants including Honda, Southeastern Toyota, Snap-on Tools Corporation, South Carolina National Bank, and Champion Products, Inc. Don, along with former "of counsel" attorney at that time Don Beskind, obtained the largest federal tort claim verdict in North Carolina against the United States government. Don has served on the Plaintiffs' Executive Committees in federal multi-district litigation, representing both individual and class action plaintiffs in business tort cases. Don had been a frequent speaker and writer for continuing legal education seminars in the area of litigation.

Don has an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America. Don is a fellow and member of the board of directors of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers; a fellow in the International Society of Barristers; and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy all of which are invitation-only legal organizations.  Don is listed as a North Carolina Super Lawyer. Don has been elected to Business North Carolina’sLegal Elite in the field of litigation, and he has served on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
