Anthony Bruning Jr. (A.J.) was born and raised in the St. Louis area. After receiving a degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia, he returned home and attended St. Louis University’s School of Law.
A.J. joined Leritz, Plunkert & Bruning, P.C. after leaving the Circuit Attorney’s Office in the City of St. Louis. At the Circuit Attorney Office, A.J. tried over 50 cases including 22 to jury verdict. Those trials included assault cases, burglary cases, gun and drug cases and a murder case. While at the Circuit Attorney’s Office, A.J. also presided over the grand jury and was the head of the Bomb and Arson unit. In 2011, A.J. was honored with the Circuit Attorney “Trial Star” for winning seven jury trials in that calendar year.
At Leritz, Plunkert & Bruning, P.C., A.J. continues to represent victims in the court of law. Specializing in product liability and personal injury cases, A.J. uses his trial experience to bring justice to his clients.
A.J. is also dedicated to helping our region grow and succeed. He is the founder and chair of the Downtown St. Louis Neighborhood Crime Watch Association. In addition, A.J. was appointed by the Mayor of St. Louis to be on the Gateway Mall Advisory Board.
