Rebecca Young is a partner with KingSpry’s Education, Special Education, and Adoption/Assisted Reproductive Technology Law Practice Groups. She is a member of the bars of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. Ms. Young is a member of the Children's Rights Committee, the Legal Services for Exceptional Children Committee and PBA Women in the Profession Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She is also a member of the Monroe County Bar Association.

Ms. Young began her legal career as a law clerk to Judge O'Brien in the Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. She then pursued a general law practice including work in family law, real estate transactions, civil litigation, bankruptcy, and education law. Prior to coming to KingSpry, Ms. Young was appointed to act as conflict counsel for Monroe County Children & Youth Services and served as solicitor to the Burnley Workshop of the Poconos, a rehabilitation service for people with disabilities. While based in the Poconos, she served for four years on the Board of Trustees of the Monroe County Bar Foundation. 

Since relocating to the Lehigh Valley, she has continued to pursue her commitment to community service as a member of the Steering Committee of Project Child Lehigh Valley and was elected President of that group in 2012.   She and her husband Bruce served as celebrity chefs for the 2013 Diakon Dining Challenge.

Attorney Young earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law. While at Villanova, Ms. Young presented research papers to state and national conferences regarding child welfare issues and earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from MCP-Hahnemann University. In addition, she was an editor of the Law-Psychology program's newsletter and co-chaired the Law-Psychology speaker series. Ms. Young also participated in an externship with the Senior Citizen Judicare Project in which she assisted low-income senior citizens with legal concerns and provided estate planning services. Young also appeared in and directed productions of the Court Jesters, a student-run theater group while at Villanova.

Prior to attending law school, Young earned a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and worked for several years as a therapist in a residential school for special education students. While enrolled in law school, she continued to practice in the mental health field in Philadelphia.
