Ghada Skaff

While attending law school at the University of Florida, Ghada served as a research assistant for a professor of law, a Law Clerk at the Clerk of Circuit Court in Hillsborough County and as a Summer Associate at Gray Robinson. After graduating, cum laude, she returned to her native Tampa to serve as the general counsel of a family-owned manufacturing and export corporation.

Since co-founding Lieser Skaff Alexander, Ghada has concentrated her practice in the area of business law. Ghada assists Tampa businesses on a wide range of complex transactions, such as: purchase and sale agreements, franchise agreements, licensing agreements, factoring agreements, non-compete agreements and fuel supply agreements.

A substantial part of her practice involves the sale or assignment of various types of businesses including restaurants, retailers, yacht brokers, marine companies and supply companies.

Ghada also advises the firm’s Tampa Bay business clients on the advantages and disadvantages of different business forms, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, limited partnerships, limited liability companies (LLCs), and corporations. As part of that process, Ghada prepares and analyzes the documents required to establish and maintain a business in good-standing under Florida law, including articles of incorporation and organization, partnership agreements, bylaws, corporate resolutions and annual filings.

Ghada is also well-versed in the international export of goods, to include, the drafting and review of Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and Legalized Documents. In 2015, Ghada was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers magazine. This honor is bestowed on the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 and are nominated based upon peer review.
