Tanya Russell is a public interest lawyer representing plaintiffs in employment discrimination. She has worked on community, race, gender and ethnic bias issues, workers' rights, student anti-violence initiatives and other public school issues and concerns related to multicultural education. She has worked for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in San Francisco where she drafted pleadings, conducted client interviews and argued motions. Since 1993 she has been a part-time instructor in the Labor Studies Department at San Francisco State University and Laney College. From 1984 to 2002 she served as a member of the Accident Review Board for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission/Transport Workers Union, Local 250A. Tanya completed her undergraduate work at U.C. Berkeley and earned a law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law. She is involved in activities related to labor and student issues.
