Erik’s experience includes auto accidents, slip and fall claims, railroad/train accidents, dog bites, premises liability claims, wrongful death actions, and traumatic brain injury claims.
He is admitted to practice in Minnesota’s State and Federal courts and has also practiced in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Indiana, and West Virginia under special admissions rules. He has likewise represented clients from Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Colorado, and Washington.
Erik grew up in Monroe, Michigan. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in 1997, Erik moved to Washington, DC where he worked as a legal assistant at a large law firm and with the DC City Attorney’s office in the area of child abuse and neglect. In 2000, he returned to his Midwestern roots to attend the University of Minnesota School of Law where he served as Managing Editor of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Review.
Since entering the practice of law, Erik has worked tirelessly as an advocate for his clients. Through settlements, work in trial courts, the court of appeals, and even a successful case in front of the Minnesota Supreme Court in Granville v. Minneapolis Public Schools, he has stood up for his clients’ needs and interests.
Erik and his wife live in south Minneapolis. When he is out of the office, Erik enjoys spending time outdoors in one of Minnesota’s many state parks hiking and camping, taking in shows at the Guthrie Theater, golfing, playing softball, or walking his dog around one of Minneapolis’ many lakes.
