Joyce Schwensen

Joyce S. Schwensen dedicates her Seattle-based law practice to both family and civil law matter. Her own family is very important to Joyce, and she lives in Seattle with her two adopted children. Her education is also grounded in Washington, as she earned her BA in History from University of Washington. Working toward her JD at the University of Washington Law School was the next step, and she became licensed to practice law in 1984. In addition to founding her own law firm, she also established the Adoption Assistance and Homestudy Services in Washington to help birth parents reach adoptive parents, which assisted famillies until 2011. She has taught several continuing education classes on both adoption and real estate, and furthers her knowledge through her membership in both the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association.
