Charles Taylor

A a-v rated lawyer in the firm of Chehardy, Sherman, et al., Mr. Taylor graduated from the School of Law at Western New England College in 1977. Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the courts of Louisiana, the Federal Court of Claims and all Louisiana Federal Courts, he limits his practice to the areas of medical malpractice, ERISA, general liability defense, sex discrimination and products liability. Prior to becoming a lawyer he was a Physician's Assistant. A founding member and past chairman of the LTLA's Medical Malpractice Section, he is s frequent lecturer to diverse audiences , including the LTLA, New Orleans Academy of Trial Lawyers, Louisiana Bar Association, the Hastings Group, GE Medical Protective Physicians, Touro Infirmary Medical & Dental Staffs, etc. His professional publications include articles in the areas of Technology and the Law, Emergency Medicine, Tort Damages, Medical and Legal Malpractice as well as HIPAA. After years of plaintiff's practice, Chuck now practices for the defense. Chuck's trial experience spans the gamut of complex litigation issues and includes medical malpractice, drug products liability, products liability, as well as other general liability areas. Chuck is, also, immediate past co-chair of the Medical/Legal Interprofessional Committee of the Louisiana State Bar Assoc. and Louisiana State Medical Society. He is a member of the Louisiana Assoc. of Defense Counsel, the American Bar Assoc., and serves on three of its committees, as well as being a member of the Defense Research Institute. A Fellow in the Louisiana Bar Foundation and adjunt prefessor of law at the School of Law, Loyola University, Chuck also taught paralegals at Tulane University College.
