Ira is a seasoned litigator having over 17 years' experience in real estate litigation and commercial litigation. Ira primarily concentrates in high-end, lendor-side mortgage foreclosure litigation, involving, but not limited to, issues concerning the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, Florida Unfair Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, and Florida Fair Lending Act. Ira is also adept representing lenders in routine foreclosure and eviction matters. Ira's reputation in this field is significant and has earned the repsect of not only other lender attorneys, but from foreclosure defense attorneys as well.
In addition to foreclosure actions, Ira has significant experience in other types of real estate litigation. Ira previously represented Broward County as outside counsel in quiet title actions and code enforcement lien forclosures. Further, Ira acted as Broward County's Prosecutor for its Code Enforcement, and Unlicensed Contractor boards. Further, as a private practitioner, Ira has assisted numerous clients in eviction proceedings, partition actions, escrow and interpleader disputes.
Ira's commercial litigation experience is quite extensive. He has represented many Fortune 500 companies from simple breach of contract actions to more complicated disputes, including fraud, and Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices.
