Craig Friedberg - Bio
Mr. Friedberg is husband to Lauriann and father to Ian, Nicole and Joshua. He and his family have resided in Las Vegas for more than 20 years. He devotes much of his free time to community service. He has been a Sunday school teacher for more than ten years, primarily teaching ethics and faith to young people. He also enjoys riding his recumbent bike and has used that activity to raise money to fight MS, and is a regular blood donor. In addition, he volunteers his time to assist our high school and college students by regularly serving as a judge at mock trial competitions.Mr. Friedberg has been a civil, commercial and administrative litigator for 24 years, and has spent the last decade fighting for consumer rights. Other areas in which he has practiced include intellectual property litigation, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices, professional malpractice, personal injury, construction defect and labor relations.
Mr. Friedberg also has extensive experience in judicial and quasi-judicial capacities. He is currently a Short Trial Judge for the District Court, a Justice Court Pro Tem, a Clark County hearing officer, and he has been an arbitrator deciding civil matters for more than 15 years and over 150 arbitrations.
Mr. Friedberg received his Artis Baccalaureate in American Culture from Vassar College in 1979 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1986. During law school he had a regular column published in the quarterly California Regulatory Reporter which discussed the issues and agenda of the California Energy Commission and the California Athletic Commission.
He is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and California. He taught a seminar on the Fair Credit Reporting Act and consumer rights for the State Bar of Nevada in 2003. He is admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in Nevada, the state courts in California, the United Stated District Court for the Central District of California; and the United States Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
