Experience:
Litigation paralegal and case manager for a small law firm in beautiful Northeastern Pennsylvania for 22 years before venturing into the freelance/virtual world. Areas of specialization: Plaintiff Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Survival Actions and Medical Malpractice litigation, where as case manager, I was involved in each aspect of the case, from the initial client interview through trial. My responsibilities included complete project management: determining and coordinating necessary investigation; obtaining and synopsizing medical records; fact-finding; preparation of pleadings, discovery documents, discovery responses, settlement brochures, Pre-Trial Memoranda, Arbitration/Mediation Memoranda and Trial Briefs and Notebooks; analyzing defendant’s discovery responses; along with ongoing client contact and preparation for and attendance at depositions, mediations, arbitration hearings and trial.
My background in Pennsylvania Family Law is also all-inclusive. The cases in which I have been involved were complicated and the marital estates substantial; therefore, I was provided with invaluable experience in a plethora of divorce, support and custody issues and situations. I am adept at analyzing and determining the value of marital estates, developing custody schedules and have experience in drafting just about any document that is associated with PA Family Law, including air-tight Property Settlement Agreements, Petitions for Special Relief and supporting briefs, Custody Complaints, Stipulations and Emergency Petitions, Complaints in Divorce, Counterclaims, and so on. My settlement proposals are known to bring difficult cases to completion, and my creative and all-inclusive Pre-Trial Statements have been complimented by many Masters in Divorce.
Strengths/Special Skills:
... A positive attitude, honest, high-producer, perfectionist, professional, analytical with an innate ability to size up a person, situation or aspect of a case, efficient and highly organized, with a talent for relating to and putting people at ease, thereby eliciting cooperation.
... I am quite skilled at writing, editing and creating professional and polished document presentations that flow succinctly. Your clients will come to life through the written word in my settlement brochures. It should be noted that the work-products that I generated while employed in a law firm setting, whether related to personal injury or domestic cases, were subject to few, if any, revisions by my supervising attorneys.
