Ganis Corporate Law offices, and its principal and founder, Stephen L. Ganis, offer legal solutions to their business clients in Connecticut and New York, and our business orientation serves entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, start ups in a cost-effective manner for the 'fee fatigued' client.
Our legal solutions also extend to servicing startups as well as established companies as "outsourced general counsel', with innovative fee structuring, and we also serve as "of counsel" backup advisors on corporate matters for other StartUp lawyers.
We also work as backup to in-house legal departments, often times complementing the big law firms also representing those companies. We represent clients throughout the business cycles, from StartUp, to emerging growth, and in exit strategies, including purchase and sale of all or part of the business, or mergers or strategic partnerships. We can negotiate many documents relating to the business, including the stock option plan, loans, angel financing, intellectual property registrations, website review, licensing agreements, office leases, equipment leases, employment agreements, non-competition agreements, Regulation D financing, and we can set up the procedures and policies for a company to monitor the terms of its existing contracts. Aside from the legal responsibilities, we are also asked to provide counsel on risk management in determining company goals and objectives.
We are not expert in all areas of the law, and we work with experienced lawyers in such areas as litigation, immigration, and tax law.
Stephen L. Ganis , the principal and founder of Ganis Corporate Law offices, was trained to do corporate transactions and general business representation while associated with two major New York City law firms, and he also served as in-house general counsel to an investment management firm where he structured various corporate transactions. In his solo practice, he has served many entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors, and for a decade he provided backup to the in-house legal department of the Welbilt Corporation, Stamford, CT, and he was outsourced general counsel for the Seabury Group for a decade, representing three founders in a startup which eventually grew into an industry leader.
