Evan O. Williford is a partner in the Delaware Litigation Practice Group of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP. Mr. Williford has extensive experience in corporate litigation before the Delaware Court of Chancery and Supreme Court specifically, and commercial litigation before Delaware courts in general. Mr. Williford also advises clients on questions regarding Delaware business law that are non-routine or likely to lead to litigation.

Mr. Williford has authored a number of articles on Delaware corporate law in such publications as The M&A Lawyer, the Corporate Governance Advisor, and Insights. He serves as an attorney guardian ad litem representing children in state custody before the Delaware Family Court. Mr. Williford is a member of the Delaware Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Williford grew up in Delaware, receiving his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature magna cum laude from the University of Delaware, and his Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School cum laude. While in law school Mr. Williford was an Articles Editor for the Cornell Law Review. After law school Mr. Williford clerked for Chief Justice E. Norman Veasey of the Delaware Supreme Court, then practiced for a number of years with two Delaware firms well-respected in corporate litigation. Before joining Jaspan, Mr. Williford most recently represented clients at The Williford Firm LLC, where he authored a blog on Delaware corporate law.

Mr. Williford is admitted to practice law in Delaware state court and the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
