Peter Bylsma

PETER BYLSMA PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
 
Peter Bylsma is a public relations professional with more than three decades of marketing communications, media relations, planning, events and brand-building marketing communications experience with corporations, agencies, political campaigns and non-profit organizations. 

Bylsma has most recently been providing public relations counsel for law firms and retail companies including Brookstone Law PC, Mitchell J. Stein & Associates, Fish Window Cleaning, Inc. and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg's apparel company Serious Pimp. 

In 2010, Bylsma provided providing strategic planning, new business, writing and editing, media relations, corporate legal communications, spokesperson training, events and fund raising services for public relations/advertising agency Idea Hall and the American Freedom Alliance and National Multiple Sclerosis Society non-profit organizations.  He was Executive Director of the Los Angeles County Lincoln Clubs from 2004-2009, responsible for events, membership, fund raising, communications and community relations for the leading political action committee in Los Angeles and its ten chapters throughout the County; and Executive Director of Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse where he served as spokesperson, fund raiser, publicist and producer/host of "The Broken Gavel" weekly radio program. 

Prior to entering public affairs, Bylsma was an independent marketing communications consultant with a track record of success in publicity, writing, events and strategic planning earned during more than 15 years with agency and corporate entertainment, consumer, B2B and technology clients. He has represented major clients including MCA/Universal, Anheuser-Busch, IMAX, World Cup USA, Long Beach Aquarium, Crate & Barrel, El Pollo Loco, Airborne Express, Nestle, Nabisco, Archstone Properties, Warner Bros., GNC Stores and numerous others.  He began his career with Walt Disney Productions as a Disney Character and was a line producer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1984 Olympic Games.  A native of Los Angeles, he is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
