Court Order Terminating Class Action Claims is Immediately Appealable in California
In California, generally a case may be appealed only after 'final judgment.' In this recent decision, the California Supreme Court held that when a trial court issues an order terminating class claims, yet allows individual claims to go forward, the order terminating class claims is immediately appealable.
