Boyajian v. Ordoubadi
This is an opinion of the California Appellate Court, Fourth Appellate District. Under California law, a cause of action for equitable indemnity accrues after the underlying debt or loss is paid. The Court held that since Bankruptcy law allows discharge of contingent claims, it can also allow discharge of an equitable indemnity claim, before the cause of action has accrued.
