Chicagoland Annual Foreclosure Statistics and Trends
The year of 2013 was a positive one for the Chicago real estate market according to statistics compiled by the Illinois Foreclosure Listing Service. Interest in foreclosed properties in the region increased throughout the year which caused the number of sales at auction to increase accordingly and, although there were a lot of foreclosed properties on the market for most of the year, the number of new homes and businesses falling into foreclosure decreased overall.
