Budget Crisis Forces the California Superior Court into Furlough

California's financial crisis is affecting its judicial system. The California legislature has authorized the Superior Court of California to close every third Wednesday of the month commencing September 16, 2009 and going through June 16, 2010. These furlough days are considered court holidays which affect the length of notice required for bringing motions.
