In a daily release of Tax Court opinions from the Court’s website, the Watson CPA Group learns that the CEO and owner of a successful janitorial services company, Jani-King International, was found responsible for his girlfriend’s death. The company reimbursed James Cavanaugh for the wrongful death settlement and attempted to deduct the amount on the corporate tax return.
