$8.4 Million Verdict for Widow of Mesothelioma Patient, Announces Baron and Budd
Jury finds Hercules, Inc. responsible for exposing worker to asbestos. Dallas (PRWEB) October 08, 2012 A jury has awarded an $8.4 million verdict to a mesothelioma patient’s widow after finding Hercules, Inc., a subsidiary of Ashland, Inc., responsible for the patient’s mesothelioma, a rare cancer caused by exposure to asbestos (Case No. DC10-08454-D, Civil District Court of Dallas County, 68th, TX.). The mesothelioma verdict is believed to be the first asbestos verdict reached against Hercules, Inc. for asbestos exposure at a Dow Chemical plant and may set a precedent for similar results.
