California Case Law on Apportioning Legal Fees for Partition Action Amongst Siblings

This is a case between 7 siblings for partition by sale of their late parents' house. The trial court found that one the plaintiffs who was a real estate professional “manipulated this thing' based on which the court denied recovery of attorney's fees to this plaintiff under the equitable provisions of California Code of Civil Procedure Section 874.040. The court of appeals affirmed.
