Mother's Taking Topamax May Have Unknowingly Increased The Likihood Of A Birth Defect
Topamax was recently relabeled by the FDA after the drug demonstrated elevated instances of birth defects in children who's mothers took the drug during pregnancy. Topamax birth defects include: cleft lip, cleft palate, spina bifida, club foot and facial deformities. Additionally, it has now been established that Topamax also reduced the effectiveness of birth control-- broadening the possibility of other birth defects.
