Why is important to differentiate the type of facility where a bed sore developed?
Bed sores (also referred to as: pressure sores, pressure ulcers, decubitus ulcers) are a disturbingly common injury facing patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals and senior care facilities. While many of these situations do arise from neglect on the part of the facility, it is important to differentiate where the wound developed as the applicable laws differ substantially based upon where the wound originated.
