Admitted to practice law in the State of New York, US Court of Appeals (9th Circuit), and in the Republic of the Philippines.
Attorney Cuison is currently practicing in the field of US Immigration Law, focusing on family and employment-based immigration petitions (including Labor Certification [PERM]), non-immigrant visa applications, and removal/deportation defense. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and Queens County Bar Association, and a former individual member of the New York Immigration Coalition. He is a lifetime member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines and Philippine Constitution Association.
Prior to his US practice, he was a Supervising Bank Litigation Attorney (with the rank of Senior Assistant Vice President) at the Development Bank of the Philippines, and had worked for the same bank as litigation lawyer for almost 20 years. For 14 years, he served as Part-time Law Professor in various law schools in Manila (Arellano University, Lyceum of the Philippines, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila). Professor Cuison was consistently rated as one of the top ten law professors of Arellano University School of Law. His first job was as Technical Assistant to the then Senior Associate Justice Jose Y. Feria of the Philippine Supreme Court.
Attached to his professional record are cases won before the Supreme Court of the Republic of the Philippines (reported in the Supreme Court Report Annotated [SCRA]). With his extensive experience in the active practice of law and in the academe, Attorney Cuison is highly qualified to handle, and is accepting, legal consultancy job in relation to Philippine business, credit transactions, corporation, and property laws.
Attorney Cuison is a Bachelor of Laws (cum laude) graduate of the University of Santo Tomas (Manila, Philippines). He is also a holder of Bachelor of Arts degree major in Political Science (Lyceum of the Philippines) and a Masters Degree in Government Management (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila/University of the City of Manila). Family wise, Atty. Cuison is happily married to Rosemarie Berdin-Cuison (a Philippine Licensed Dentist and currently a New York & California Registered Nurse), and the couple is blessed with two talented and loving kids - daughter Vince Marie (4th Place, 2009 Placer County, California, Spelling Bee) and son Vicente Emmanuel. Atty. Cuison speaks English and Pilipino laguages, including bicol dialect.
